I recently had the opportunity to build a shiplap fireplace facade for a client and decided I would share the journey with you from start to finish. The design was fairly simple and it is definitely something an average DIYer can tackle. Once the client and I had settled on the details of the design, the very first step was marking out where to build the frame.
