I chose Texas Tech because when I visited the campus I automatically fell in love and felt like I had found my future home, hollie campbell. The friendliness of the staff and students was also a big hollie campbell in my decision. Tech has given me everything and more that I could ask for from an education.

My preferred medium is currently watercolor, but I also enjoy acrylics, ink drawing, and calligraphy. My work is colorful and often described as whimsical, with a focus on feminine energies, fungi, and "dream-scapes". My art has granted me countless opportunities and a whole slew of enduring relationships. Living in Corvallis, OR there was once a time when I was running two local studios, promoting the Corvallis Arts Walk, volunteering for multiple local non-profits, and running the social media pages for all of them - All while working a full-time job and trying to promote my own artwork - I thrived in the chaos! Then the pandemic hit, and everything was suddenly halted.

In the beginning, they were based on games I played with my friends—a way to keep playtime going even when I was alone. When I was about 12 years old, I realized this was more than just playtime. More than escapism. More than a hobby. Storytelling was my passion—what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I write both young adult and adult novels across multiple genres, but all my books feature similar themes: Fate vs. I write about ordinary people tapping into something extraordinary in themselves and overcoming the odds. In a political world gone wild, a growing tribe of Americans searches inward finding solace in the comfort of their hometown, surrounded by people they know and love regardless of race, country of origin, religion or political affiliation. Montevallo is this unconventional oasis for 6, residents. We take pride in our unique assets — The University of Montevallo, Alabama National Cemetery, American Village, our tree carving park, our vibrant arts community and our high-quality and walkable p educational system. However, like many small towns, we were haunted with voices of despair, recognizing that not all needs are being met. City streets were crumbling; city hall was leaking; our police facility was inadequate and our youth underserved. In short, we desired more, but given limited resources, became satisfied with the status quo. Recently something magical ignited a spark resulting in a boom like no other in local history.
