They typically don't have public guild halls but sometimes have safe-houses and members tend to gather at a single location in large towns, such as at a cornerclub, inn or tavern. Typically, members are bound not to rob each other, kill anyone while thieving or rob the poor. Based in the city of Riften , the Thieves Guild's headquarters can be initially accessed through the Ratway , a network of tunnels that run under the city. To join the Thieves Guild, travel to Riften and come into contact with Brynjolf , who can be found at the market stalls during the day, or the Bee and Barb tavern during the night.
During the day, at the main bazaar walking straight through from the main city entrance is a man called Brynjolf. Best is to do this at a high pickpocket level, so you will not fail planting the ring into someone else's pocket.

How do you compltete this? I was under the impression that if I did the side jobs for each city and retuned the guild to it's former glory that it would complete this, but it did not. Do I have to find all 24 stones and completet the Thieves Guild qeustline as well? Really, cause it is listed under that quest, find all 24 stones and become full member of thieves guild.
