Set in a giant shopping complex which served as a central hub for the evacuation of Tarkov, the map contains one large, intricate central structure with a small outdoor perimeter and a number of smaller buildings for the player to explore. The main complex has three floors: an underground loading area, the main shopping level where the IDEA and Oli megastores are located, and an additional shopping level with smaller shops on the top floor. The majority of Extraction Points are located on the outer perimeter of the outdoor section, though players will need to know exactly where to look in order to make safe extractions within the given time limit of a raid. There are six main Extraction Points on Interchange for players to be aware of, but whether or not they can access a given point or not will depend on whether they are playing as a Scav or PMC. Certain Extraction Points will be closed off to Scavs, who have fewer options, and players should always be wary of enemies loitering around these locations looking for easy kills. In order to extract, players will simply have to head to the required zone and wait for the timer to reach zero, after which they will leave the game with all of their acquired gear. Perhaps the easiest and most obvious extraction point is the Emercom Checkpoint located in the South-Eastern corner of the map.
