There are huge delays on the M62 this afternoon with lanes closed due to an ongoing 'police incident'. Two lanes are shut with emergency services at the scene on the eastbound carriageway, between J11 for Birchwood and J12 for the M60 and Eccles.

An additional lane for eastbound traffic over the M62 Ouse Bridge is due to open on the morning of Saturday, 18 June. We're getting ready for a concrete pour to create new supports for the joints.
