There are soundbars and then there are soundbars. And then there are others that strive to fully replace a separate surround sound speaker system connected to one of the best AV receivers — the JBL Bar X, for example. A unique feature of the Bar X is its rechargeable surround speakers, a design that makes them truly wireless. The notably large inch subwoofer was a factor in this as well — it's downfiring, and you can feel its energy pumping into the floor as well as hearing the results in the guttural rumble of the Batmobile's engine.
