Karlach and wyll

Karlach is a popular object of affection in Baldur's Gate 3but another companion can get in the way if players aren't careful. There are eight romanceable characters in the game, and Karlach is one of them, karlach and wyll.

Companions play an important part in Baldur's Gate 3 , with the party at the core of the game's mechanics. Two companions whose stories are deeply intertwined are Wyll and Karlach, with one sent to hunt the other in Act 1. While Karlach is certainly a desired member in the party, it comes at a cost of Wyll, but there is a practical workaround to this issue. The problem with Karlach and Wyll can all be summed up with one word: Mizora. Mizora is Wyll's warlock patron who has tasked him to find and kill Karlach. On one hand, if he obeys, he gets a reward, but the party misses out on an excellent barbarian companion in Baldur's Gate 3. On the other hand, if Wyll refuses to kill Karalch, then Mizora punishes him and the party misses out on a great piece of equipment.

However, some of them might not be recruitable together, or the player might face some issues while having them on the same team. To find Karlach, the player will have to head north from the Blighted Village until they reach a broken bridge. They will have to jump across to the other side of it. From the broken bridge, the player has to go to the right and continue directly, however, there will be some dangerous hyenas on the way there. The player should kill them before they start attacking them and stop them from getting reinforcements. If the players do this right, they can go on without having sustained any damage. Continuing down the road, the player will find Karlach, on the other side of a log. An issue with recruiting both Karlach and Wyll is that the latter will be turned into a Devil by his patron, Mizora. This doesn't affect the game much, other than maybe making him unattractive to some players. The first step to completing this is to kill Karlach. After killing Karlach, the player needs to go back to their camp.

By completing their personal quests in a certain way, it is possible for the pair - along with any main characters - to share a single epilogue. One of these situations is a conflict between Wyll, one of their companions, and Karlach, a supposed Devil he is hunting down.
