Receives and resolves user complaints empathetically, and escalates problems of greater complexity to the appropriate manager. Maintains expertise on KDL's eResources; remotely instructs and assists in basic technical support, maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of eReaders and devices to effectively help users access the digital collection and electronic databases. Answers questions about library events and manages online event registration for users. Manages user accounts by updating library card records and aiding in the collection of fines and other bills; processes online registration applications and reviews library card registrations issued in KDL branches. Supports KDL's centralized MeLCat procedures through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to the following: processing incoming and outgoing interlibrary loan materials; running regular reports and sending notices; facilitating billing and invoicing procedures according to MCLS policies; providing MeLCat support to KDL users and branch staff; performing general problem-solving and follow-up communication with KDL branch staff and other participating MeLCat libraries as needed. Provides branch staff with remote support and problem-solving regarding but not limited to: the ILS, general library processes, and KDL policies and procedures.
