Auldbhoy was a senior administrator on this website, and was a bulwark in its formation. Without him, this site would be a pale imitation of what it has become. As a mark of his dedication, at the end of the season he even used to provide individual tallies for each person to see how they voted! In , Auldbhoy was diagnosed with cancer. It is a tough blow for any man but John never wavered and always kept a bullish attitude. The level of empathy from all the Celtic support was incredible, and Auldbhoy became an inspiration for many. We on this site had the privilege to work alongside him for all these years, and his death has made us all numb. On Saturday 11th December , our online community of Celtic supporters was left greatly saddened by the news that one of our friends had passed away, after his open battle with cancer. He was a cornerstone of the online Celtic community as a whole. His gentle, and friendly character made an impression on all who crossed his path, and his loss invoked an outpouring of heartfelt emotion from the online Celtic community to an extent rarely seen. Despite his battle with illness being bravely publicised, and shared on the pages of the KerrydaleStreet forum; the news of his loss was something for which we were all ill-prepared to receive.

With this in mind, it is doubly significant that we the members of KDS are now in a position to give a sizeable donation to the Hospice.
