While she enjoys the gifts and privilege that comes with a relationship with the king, Kenna soon learns that it's not all it's cracked up to be and seeks an out. She is instead forced into a marriage with the king's bastard son, Sebastian , who is titleless, landless, and tied to court. The two surprisingly fall in love and develop a mutual respect for one another. Despite that, Kenna continues to yearn for a life of fun and comfort. Kenna is a member of the House of Poitiers by marriage. Kenna was born and raised a noble in Scotland. She was chosen to become a lady-in-waiting for Mary Stuart. Before she left for France , her mother gave her a necklace which she claimed would always keep her safe. Kenna is vibrant, free-spirited, and incredibly impulsive, almost bordering on reckless. She is also a firecracker, making her simultaneously unpredictable and captivating.

It's that affair that leads to her leaving France altogether when she realizes she's pregnant.

The relationship between Kenna and Sebastian de Poitiers. At first, Bash gave advice to Kenna about how to get the advantage over his father. A year later, when Henry went mad, he forced Kenna and Bash to marry even though the two disliked each other and Henry promised Kenna he would marry her to someone with a title. At the start of their marriage, they constantly bickered at each other until they agreed to get along and get to know one another. Bash promised Kenna he will protect her from his father whom she had become afraid of which caused the two to become closer. Later, their feelings began to show and they eventually make love. By the season finale , they declared their love for each other. During the second season , Bash and Kenna's marriage had gotten into trouble. Many obstacles gotten in their way due to Bash becoming King's Deputy and because Antoine kept coming onto Kenna. Eventually, Kenna broke Bash's heart after she declared that she wanted to take Antoine's offer of marriage as he could give her so many things that Bash could not.

She also divulges that Lola is having complications with giving birth. Kenna locks herself and Pascal in the storage room. She promised she would continue to be his mistress even after she was married. Mary tries to calm her and promises to protect them as they are all still friends, but Lola doesn't seem to appreciate that sentiment. Kenna was born and raised in Scotland to a rich and noble family. Elizabeth ends the series by becoming the true Warrior Queen.
