Also pry out, lightly, the 2 hinges in the Fob that are on the side of where the battery fits in and clean the other metal in there where the battery fits in. I replaced my battery with a brand new Duracell one but the warning on the dash is still there. I always replace both, but also leave an unused spare in the glovebox just in case. I bought some brand new Duracell from Amazon ones for main key and spare - after getting low battery message and they turned out to be duds.
