Dave wanted to make his version of the Corvette, which would have more internal space to accommodate the evolving larger driver and would also have up-to-the-minute vehicle dynamics. Employing a Roadster Shop chassis and repositioning floor pans lower than the original Corvette, Kindig's team retained the car's original wheelbase while increasing interior space by 4 inches. This redesign accommodates a wider range of drivers, addressing one of the original Corvette's limitations. With an automatic transmission, this revamped powerhouse significantly elevates the vehicle's performance.
