Emperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator Yzma, and must now regain his throne with the help of Pacha, the gentle llama herder. Yzma : Ah, how shall I do it? Oh, I know. I'll turn him into a flea, a harmless, little flea, and then I'll put that flea in a box, and then I'll put that box inside of another box, and then I'll mail that box to myself, and when it arrives Yzma I'll smash it with a hammer! It's brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, I tell you!
Kuzco
Emperor Kuzco is the 18 year-old [1] emperor of the Incas. His name is a reference to the ancient Incan city of Cusco. Kuzco is initially portrayed as an arrogant, callous and spoiled narcissist , but has a sense of charm and style. For example, when he is shown beautiful girls in hopes one of them will be his wife, he rudely insults all of them and continues to sing about himself and be pampered by his servants. Throughout the series, he turns into various animals. In The Emperor's New Groove , Kuzco is turned into a llama by the duplicitous Yzma , who intends to poison him to claim the throne for herself, following her termination as his adviser. He is presumed dead, and finds himself lost in the jungle. Kuzco teams up with Pacha , a llama herder, who helps Kuzco turn back into a human again, regaining his dignity and his throne. Throughout the film, Kuzco learns the meaning of friendship and sacrifice. In Kronk's New Groove , Kuzco has a cameo appearance. He occasionally shows up onscreen acting as if he is the director and breaks the fourth wall by talking to the audience.

According to Kuzco and Yzma , he was lost at sea on a trip when Kuzco was just a baby; thereby granting the throne to Kuzco. Since Yzma claims to have raised Kuzco, it is possible that his mother passed away as well, rendering him an orphan. It is revealed that Kuzco and his father share two things: a llama birthmark and the same necklace. At the beginning of the film when it accidentally flashed back too far into Kuzco's past, it was also revealed that he had a stuffed doll as a treasured toy, and eventually threw a fit as a baby when he accidentally broke it while hugging it, only to cheer up when what were presumably his caretakers promptly replaced it with several just like it an early hint at how he had been spoiled-rotten.

Kuzco
Kuzco is presented as a sarcastic person with no regard to how his words or actions affect others. He's sardonic to those he thinks are beneath him the peasants of the village. As a child he grew up in luxury; the lazy and flamboyant nature this created carried over into his reign as Emperor. Kuzco is primarily focused on the physical, how attractive a person is and their popularity. His life is dictated by his "groove" or the "rhythm in which he lives"; which is upset and ultimately changed by the evil actions of Yzma and the good influence of Pacha. Throughout the first movie we are given glimpses of Kuzco's softer and more compassionate side. By the end he sees the error of his ways, but its not easy to give up old habits. In The Emperor's New School he still has a sarcastic personality but we are also shown his loyalty and capacity to fix his mistakes after he realizes he's made them.

He only appears in human form, and can only be unlocked by ten Kuzco chips. Malina mentors Kuzco because she wants to help him graduate and learn how to become a better person. He doesn't even believe Pacha when he tries to warn him, and only learns the truth for himself after overhearing Yzma and Kronk talk about their attempt to kill him. Yzma is a remarkable villain and her sidekick Kronk is hilarious. From left to right: Yzma, Kronk, Kuzco in llama form , and Pacha. Edit page. Before I left the film and it was ultimately shelved , I created model sheets for not only Snowball, but for the rest of the herd of seven other llamas and for Kuzco as a Llama.
