Light yagami death parade

Even though it hasn't been explicitly confirmed at least, I don't think it has XD , a character who looks suspiciously like Light Yagami appears in Episode 11 of Death Parade. This raised so many questions in my mind regarding these two shows. And the more I thought about it, the more connections I found. For instance, Castra stated that the death rates in the human world had risen quite drastically recently, which could be explained by the appearance of Kira and the Death Note. Also, she states the the rise was caused by someone's idea of "justice", which further suggests Light's involvement since he was enacting his own form of 'justice' on the world by killing criminals. Another thing that I realised was that Ryuk stated in Death Note that Light "could not be sent to heaven or hell". Is that why he was used as a test for Mayu's judgement? Anyways, I'd love to know your thoughts. Leave a comment if you'd like to share what you think. Do you think it's Light? It certainly makes a lot of sense for them to be connected somehow. It seems a little too perfect to me for them to be unrelated.

It has not been confirmed whether or not this was an intentional cameo; however, it seems unlikely that the studio would recreate one of their most recognizable characters on accident. AnraApr 15,

His job is to convince the unlucky pair of memoryless people to play a high-stakes game against each other, telling them their lives are at stake. They cannot leave the bar until the game is over, and shows them what appear to be dead bodies if they try to refuse. However, Decim is a liar. His real purpose is to use the competitive games to draw out the darkness in human hearts which, along with memories that he can download and view, he uses to judges the fate of their souls.

Death Note's ending garnered a lot of mixed reactions from its fans. Some felt that there were questions left unanswered, while some agreed that the end could not have been more perfect. The story started when Light Yagami — a brilliant, bored high-schooler who embodied the "model student" persona — came across the Death Note: a supernatural notebook that allowed him to kill anyone within minutes provided that he knew the name and face of the person he wanted to kill. Light immediately decided that he'd use the notebook to rid the world of criminals, but just as his dream was coming true, the legendary detective L took an interest in the case, triggering an epic battle of cat vs. What started as a plan for a utopia quickly led to Light's slow descent into madness, and by the end, Light wasn't just a savior; he was a mass murderer. When Takada was kidnapped, Makima unwittingly gave away the Death Note's location by trying to kill her, which allowed Near's team to replace it. Shocked, Light tried to feign innocence. He claimed that he was being "set-up," but none of them believed him since everyone had heard his confession forty seconds ago.

The Death Note anime premiered in , introducing to a new audience shinigami like Ryuk, as well as the villainous protagonist, Light Yagami. Both the anime and manga developed a rich lore about death, centering on a notebook granting the owner the ability to kill anyone as long as they had a name and a face, as well as debunking the notion that there was a heaven or a hell. Nine years later, the anime Death Parade not only shared in Death Note's notion that heaven and hell are human constructs, but also featured a cameo by a familiar face. Death Parade is about the humanoids who work in the "underworld. Those allow the arbiters to judge whether someone is reincarnated or if their soul is lost in the void. While the anime primarily follows Decim's story, another arbiter, Ginti, is featured. However, he struggles to understand Mayu's willingness to sacrifice herself, so he devises a new task to judge her in Season 1, Episode 11, "Memento Mori. Ginti presents a video of the stranger, refusing to give Mayu any other information on the man; however, fans of Death Note will see the similarities between the stranger and Light. While he doesn't say anything, and fans, like Mayu, know nothing about this man, the resemblance is uncanny. What further makes him nearly identical to Light is the fact that both anime are animated by Madhouse.

Also, she states the the rise was caused by someone's idea of "justice", which further suggests Light's involvement since he was enacting his own form of 'justice' on the world by killing criminals.

He is portrayed as a brilliant but bored genius who finds the Death Note, an otherworldly supernatural notebook that allows the user to kill anyone by knowing their name and face, after it is dropped by the Shinigami Ryuk.

Death Parade is about the humanoids who work in the "underworld. For the sceptics, Madhouse animated both series and confirmed that the reason why there was a 'surge of deaths' was cuz of Kira. Since Ginti initially said that it was either the stranger or Harada who would go into the void, the stranger may have gotten a second chance with both Harada and Mayu taking his place. My DeviantArt. While it is not confirmed what happens to a soul after death in Death Note , the rules of Death Parade could be applied here, showing fans that Light, like every other human, has been sent to an arbiter to be judged. The hue of your soul will cease to matter, because you will not be judged when you die, you will no longer exist. There are elevators going to each place. However, the arbiters are deceptive, so this could've been a lie. Deleted member likes this. ExcitableFoci , Deleted member and Martialegg like this. View history Talk 0. Later guys!
