Limestone animal shelter

Each year, the Athens Limestone Animal Shelter accepts about 3, dogs and cats from Athens and Limestone County animal control officers, as well as residents who find strays or can no longer care for their pets. The Animal Control department receives calls for assistance from the general public, various agencies, and county departments.
