Growing up as a little girl in Philadelphia, I watched the women in my life prepare meals as simple as Sunday morning breakfast of pancakes, eggs and grits to our holiday feast with staples like candied yams and macaroni and cheese. No matter what dish, love was the main ingredient. And, we always had plenty of it to add to whatever we made. My family created numerous memories over a plate of delicious, well-prepared food. For more than 25 years, I worked as an event planner and tasted the finest of every cuisine.
