O n Saturday night, Logan Paul defeated Dillon Danis by disqualification in a six-round boxing match on October 14, , in Manchester, England, which caused great controversy. Paul escaped the chokehold, and Danis was disqualified, but there was drama as people piled into the ring to separate the two fighters. Fans were angry that they had spent so much on watching the fight which ended with scenes which they didn't believe justified a professional boxing match. The fight was a highly anticipated event, as it was a matchup between two of the most popular social media personalities in the world. Some people believe that Danis should have been disqualified for his attempt to choke Paul out after the bell, while others believe that he was simply trying to defend himself.

The undercard included several YouTubers, featuring a match between the younger brothers of the main event fighters, Deji Olatunji and Jake Paul. It was streamed on YouTube's pay-per-view platform [4] [5] and ended in a majority draw , with two judges scoring it 57—57 and the other judge scoring it 58—57 in favour of KSI. The fight was promoted as "the biggest internet event in history" [7] and "the biggest amateur boxing match in history". After KSI emerged as the winner and was awarded the YouTube Boxing Championship belt, an unofficial and unrecognised belt created for this event, he called out the Paul brothers, Jake and Logan. Deji had reservations about fighting on the undercard, so it was agreed that the fight would be advertised with both Deji and Jake's names listed as a co-main event, ensuring equal importance for both pairs. The two parties signed contracts for two fights, and on March 18 , the fight was officially announced with a trailer on KSI's YouTube channel. The first fight was scheduled for 25 August at the Manchester Arena in England, [12] [13] and the second fight was planned for February in the United States. He stated, "I wanna squeeze out every bit of relevancy from him Logan Paul and then move onto my bigger goal which is to go pro". Two press conferences were held to promote the fight. The second press conference occurred on 18 July at York Hall in London.

The final round escalated into a chaos when Danis attempted to take Paul down with a guillotine move and Paul tried to punch his opponent while on the ground. Initially, the incident brought one security guard into the ring, but he was promptly followed by more than 30 others with Danis starting to throw punches at them, and even Jake Paul getting involved, while Logan stood on the ropes celebrating. The build-up to the fight had been taken up by trash talking, insults, press conference fights and flying objects. Paul, wearing pink shorts, boxed on the outside and at range, while Danis took the centre of the ring in a cagey opening round. Logan Paul dominated Danis in a fight where Danis refused to strike and instead hunted takedowns and chokes in their Misfits Boxing co-main event.
