Orthodontics is a specialised branch of dentistry concerned with the development and management of irregularities and abnormalities of the teeth, jaws and face. Dental malocclusion irregularity in the teeth can arise from causes such as missing or extra teeth and general causes such as disproportionate growth of one or both jaws. We are able to accept all patients for consultation and advice, however only those with more severe problems can be accepted for treatment in the hospital. Examples of the types of treatments we can offer are for patients with very severely irregular teeth, impacted teeth, multiple missing teeth, cleft lip and palate and abnormal jaw position. We also are part of team offering treatment for patients with sleep breathing disorders. You will be seen at your first consultation appointment by one of our consultant orthodontists. A comprehensive orthodontic assessment and report will be completed.
