Lux bonteri
Ahsoka lived up to fans' high expectations in many ways, delivering dramatic lightsaber conflict, heartwarming Rebels character reunions and the long-awaited return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, lux bonteri.
Having been told once that Jedi were good, during the Clone Wars , Lux no longer knew what to believe after the Republic killed his father in a surprise attack. After his mother became a prominent senator in the Separatist Congress , Bonteri moved with his parents to the Separatist capital of Raxus. Reaching adolescence in a time of war, Bonteri took on many idealistic views and hoped, like his mother, for a peaceful resolution to the devastating conflict. A year into the war, Bonteri's views on the Republic and the Jedi were significantly tested after he personally met Ahsoka Tano for the first time. While conferring with Tano, Bonteri played a significant part in helping her see that the war was not as black and white as she presumed. He caused her to think twice about the Separatists and enabled her to see that they were not inherently evil, as she had at first contended.

There is a lot of tragedy in Star Wars it is a Space opera after all and the focus of tragedy has been on the Skywalker family: Anakin Skywalker, born into slavery who would become Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker who would defeat the Empire and his father only to have his nephew destroy his attempt to rebuild the Jedi Order, and Ben Solo who, like his grandfather, fell to the dark side and killed his father. Add in Shmi Skywalker remaining in chains while her son is taken away, getting freed by a man she would marry only to be killed by Tusken Raiders and Leia who loses her husband and son while also sacrificing herself. The Skywalker family has taken some tough losses but, as I mentioned, there is plenty of tragedy to go around in the galaxy. Like the troubled partisan fighter Saw Gerrera, Lux Bonteri comes from the planet Onderon, which we got a good look at in The Clone Wars season five arc. Like all of the Skywalkers, Lux Bonteri had to deal with the loss of both his parents. His father, an officer in the Separatist army, was killed by clone troopers. The Padawan accompanied Senator Amidala to Raxus Secundus in an attempt to broker a dialogue between the two sides to try and end the war. Lux: Well, I mean you think we are all the bad guys but how many of us have you actually met? Ahsoka: Well, other than military officers like Grievous and Ventress…none I guess. You and your mother are the first. Unfortunately, Palpatine saw Senator Bonteri as a threat to his overall plan of taking control of the Galactic Republic and ordered Dooku to have her killed. This makes his next appearance when he confronts Dooku and accuses him of killing his mother more meaningful. This got Iden Versio and the Inferno Squad involved to wipe out this faction of the partisans. Cling to it like a lifeline, because it is.
Instead, they sent droidekas, spotted by Lux and Saw.

He caused her to think twice about the Separatists and enabled her to see that they were not inherently evil, as she had at first contended. Tano and Bonteri grew in understanding of each other as time went on, each revisiting ideas of what had been a faceless enemy. However, these views were tested even further when he also lost his mother shortly thereafter in, what Dooku announced as, a "Republic attack". Later in the War, Lux barged into a Republic-Separatist peace conference on Mandalore, and accused Dooku of killing his mother. After being seized by Separatist commando droids , Dooku confronted him via hologram and ordered two commando droids to kill him, but Ahsoka saved Lux.

When Versio revealed that she intended to kill Bonteri in order to recover the stolen information in his possession, he entreated Versio to always have hope before she shot him. The suggestion of romance between them also rendered Ahsoka a more believable teenager, as she had to overcome conflicting emotions surrounding Lux and the Jedi Code. Hope , Iden. Iden would go on to defect to the Rebel Alliance with fellow squad member, Dell in the Battlefront II story mode and it is a nice nod that Lux might have influenced that decision. Dooku orchestrated a Separatist attack on Coruscant, causing the Republic Senate to vote against peace negotiations with the Separatists. Some of the droids were destroyed, and the other rebels jumped out and fired on the rest of the droids. Sabine's quest to find Ezra is compelling because of their friendship as established in Rebels , whereas viewers would naturally not be so invested in the return of Lux, a sometime love interest who last appeared onscreen a decade ago. Christie Golden makes it clear that Iden Versio did not kill Lux in the book and Lucasfilm Story Group does occasionally give direction to authors on what they can take creative liberties on and what they cannot. After the death of his mother, who was murdered by Count Dooku due to her efforts to end the war, Lux decided to get revenge on Dooku, and began working with Death Watch. Start a Wiki.
The procedure is, regrettably, quite painful.
Like the troubled partisan fighter Saw Gerrera, Lux Bonteri comes from the planet Onderon, which we got a good look at in The Clone Wars season five arc. Once on Carlac, Bonteri planned to meet with Death Watch alone and leave Tano on the ship, however when Tano woke up she instructed R2 to find her lightsabers and hold on to them for her, so that she could hide her true identity from Death Watch. Bonteri obliged, and the celebration took place with Tano acting as a servant, alongside several Ming Po women who had been captured by the Death Watch. And both were close to Steela Gerrera Saw as her brother, Lux as a love interest and were devastated by her death. Lux was infatuated with Ahsoka Tano and Steela Gerrera, a Jedi and a freedom fighter, which was said in his confrontation with Versio. It appealed to Clone Wars fans, too, but bringing back Sabine, Hera, Ezra, and Chopper as primary characters meant the show catered more heavily to Rebels fans. If the station is destroyed, the power grid will go out, bringing the droids to a stop. When the rebels later met up in a safehouse in Iziz, Saw suggested that they increase their attacks on the Separatists. Staven regularly fought with the Mentor, but could not kill Bonteri because only Bonteri had access to the targeting information obtained from his stepdaughter. Tano tried to stop him, but Bonteri said he needed to find his own way, hoping that they would see each other again. Outside the tent, Bonteri discovered many battle droids that the Death Watch had been using for target practice turn on their masters after being reassembled by R2. After the rise of the Galactic Empire , Bonteri married an Imperial woman and became a father to her daughter. Despite the attention Lux received in The Clone Wars , his canon fate is still uncertain. The son of the Separatist Senator Mina Bonteri, he turned against the Confederacy after his mother was assassinated, eventually retaking Onderon from the Separatists with the Republic's help.
