Bloodlord Mandokir is a boss of Zul'Gurub , and the first optional encounter of the instance, as he does not empower Hakkar like the High Priests. Despite being optional, he is rarely skipped and highly sought after due to his exclusive loot, specifically [ Primal Hakkari Idol ] and [ Swift Razzashi Raptor ]. Mandokir has several unique features to his encounter, including his mount fight alongside him and "leveling up" by slaying players. Bloodlord Mandokir is a single-phase encounter that is automatically initiated when Vilebranch Speaker is slain. Upon acquiring a target, Mandokir dismounts and fights with his mount Ohgan. Ohgan has 91, health and remains active until killed.

If your healers "over-heal" through the rage portion of the fight its easier IMHO to just get rid of the raptor. The raptor has a stackable debuff effect which decreases the target's armor by a high amount; 7 to 8 sunders will make the tank wearing them squishy as a cloth wearer. The trash can be skipped if you vanish and reappear or reincarnate before the boss. Make sure to switch tanks between 3 and 5 sunders. On the other had, the place is loaded with spirithealers who'll provide you a free ress. It took a few tries to convince them to tone down how much aggro they were causing, but in this fight it's really better to cause half as much damage and not die than it is to do full damage and die eight times. GET 'IM! That means that, if you're standing well back from Mandokir and you happen to be in the middle of the cone, you might have a very hard time getting out of it before it goes off.
