Automotive auction services provider Manheim has announced the imminent return of physical auctions to its Altona facility in Melbourne, after moving to online only during the COVID pandemic. Commencing June 7, it says weekly in-person auctions offer an experience where the general public and dealers alike can place bids on a wide range of pre-owned vehicles at wholesale prices. While customers can inspect vehicles on the day, they are also welcome to visit the Altona site Monday to Friday am to pm for vehicle inspections before each weekly auction, to ensure peace of mind. Entry is via Gate 2 and there is ample free onsite parking. It also auctions trucks, trailers, motorcycles, plant and equipment, machinery, recreational vehicles, and damaged vehicles in its other online auction programs. All vehicles are driven through the auction lanes and are auctioned in the order they appear in the catalogue.
