A destructive fire that started in the Edge 3 apartment building under construction, and then spread to an adjacent Edge 2 building and two neighbouring houses, was the biggest story in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows in The Edge 3 building, under construction by MacLean Homes, was a five storey wood structure, that had no fire breaks, exterior cladding or sprinkler system to slow the spread.
