Though this colonial-style building is not ocean-side, most rooms have a pleasant view of the cloverleaf-shaped pool and the yacht-filled marina. In , this property became all-inclusive, and a year later many rooms on the sides of the building were renovated with a nautical motif in hues of blue and red with anchor-print bedding and miniature replicas of sailboats and lighthouses on display. Standard rooms have two queen beds, and suites have huge patios, Jacuzzi tubs, a living room, and full kitchen. This feels appropriate given the marina setting, and nothing has been sacrificed in the way of comfort; accommodations continue to feature king or queen beds, kitchens or kitchenettes, and private balconies. The large, airy lobby reflects a traditional Mexican sensibility crossed with a bit of yacht club chic: wrought iron chandeliers and religious iconography at one end of the spectrum, red and blue hued couches and upholstered chairs on the other. The smaller pool is sportier, with a volleyball net for friendly competitions, as well as its own swim-up bar.

We chose the Marina Fiesta Resort for our family vacation mainly because of its location in Cabo. We wanted to be close to the action with the flexibility to walk into town for shopping and nightlife. Funny thing is, we never actually took advantage of the Cabo nightlight on this trip, but it was nice to know it existed not too far away. We loved that our hotel was located on the marina and also walking distance to Medano beach. Most of the big resorts in Cabo are located on a beach with no swimming allowed. We walked to the beach a couple days and took a boat ride out to the arch, but we never actually went swimming there. When we checked into The Marina Fiesta Resort, we were given a room on the 6th floor with an amazing view of the Marina. My parents were placed on the 3rd floor balcony shown in the above picture which was also great! Each balcony at the resort is different and the views are fantastic! There were always little birds coming to say hello and the sunsets were pretty spectacular too. The chairs did fill up early, but we were always able to find a spot later in the afternoon. Popular at the pool! We had the all-inclusive package and enjoyed ordering pina coladas poolside. We loved our nautical themed room.

With two pools and a swim-up bar, mature couples mix with bachelorette parties and small groups of friends creating a lively -- but generally not wild -- vibe. There's also a modern gym with a trainer and a dated spa. Dining is varied, with almost every restaurant in the hotel's Golden Zone -- a seaside promenade with options ranging from Japanese to Italian -- partaking in the all-inclusive Dine Out plan. As an alternative, Tesoro Los Cabos has lower rates and more modern rooms on the other side of the marina. Is this the most modern all-inclusive resort to be found in downtown Cabo San Lucas?

Location, food selection, and quality were good. All ages welcome. The hotel is located in a great area, however, as it is right on the marina so you have a lot of noise at night.
