Second bag I've bought and no matter how carefully I try to open the bag it tears, spilling out flour. The paper is too thin and the glue too strong. Hence three stars. This flour produced dense cakey loves and when fed to my sour dough starter almost killed it. I don't know what was wrong with it but I wouldn't risk buying it. Had high hopes for this flour but could not use it as it was infested with weevils. I loved the first couple of bags of this flour, it made great bread with a nice crust and open crumb. I was convinced I'd found a great value, great quality flour.

Totally failed slow fermentation, not enough protein not enough ash. This flour makes all the difference when baking anything requiring plain flour. It is white and clean and all bakes turn great. So much better than any other on the market. I usually buy Marriages but I think this is as good and considerably cheaper.

Used to work fine, but for quite a along time the loaves have been coming out the bread machine flat! Tried a different brand and they were fine! Hubby has been making bread every week since the beginning of The First Lockdown and I have ordered many different flours for him during his bread making journey. It's been a learning curve involving different ingredients, ratios, techniques and results. Speaking as Chief Bread Sampler, I have loved his last 2 loaves which used half this flour because it was cheapest and half Allison's Strong White because it was half price.
