Martian madness
Many new enemies are added to the Martian Madness event, which spawn after defeating The Starborn Moth. These new enemies can drop Strange Mattermartian madness, which are used to craft a variety of equipment. Unlike the worldofcardgames Starborn Moth Martian Invasion, the buffed invasion consists of 12 martian madness.
Martian Madness is a Hardmode , post- Golem invasion-style event that includes several alien-themed enemies. It can only be triggered after Golem has been defeated. Martian Madness is triggered by a Martian Probe , which spawns randomly in the two outer lateral thirds of the map with a higher spawn chance in the Space layer. When this small flying enemy detects a player or is attacked, it immediately attempts to fly away. If the Probe escapes, the event starts. This requires at least one player with at least maximum health to be in the world — otherwise, the event will not start. A Martian Probe will not spawn if any of the 4 Celestial Pillars are active.

The Martian Madness is a post- Golem invasion that can be done anytime after beating it. The event rewards the player with very powerful items dropped from its exclusive boss, the Martian Saucer. However, due to the great amount of powerful Martians that spawn the event can prove to be extremely difficult if attempted without preparation. The invasion will only happen when the Player finds a Martian Probe Desktop, Console and Mobile versions in the wild and lets it escape into Space. The Martians will then spawn in areas close to friendly NPCs. The event is better fought around your base, where the martians will be much less likely to overwhelm you with projectiles. Make sure to protect your NPCs however, as the enemies will easily kill them. Like many other invasions, all pre This can be exploited by safely killing the enemies inside a tall box above the ground. Additionally, a pit with a shallow layer of Lava and Traps can be built to trap the Martians and kill them safely. Using Summon weapons you can safely and quickly beat the Martian Saucer from inside the box, and you can use Track since enemies cannot spawn on it, which serves as a great way keeping non-flying enemies at bay. You can also hop on the Track if you have a mechanical cart due to its great speed.
I found one while i was reading this lol.
There is no item to summon the martian madness event, but after you defeat the golem, a floating drone will appear in your world acationally, it will have a green dome and sway a little bit, if you get near it the martian madness event will be triggered shortly after. I believe the drone mainly spawns around the surface away from your NPCs. Just roam around across the surface of your map and you should find one after a while. Or, if you do something like farming, you'll get one even though you don't want one! They do actually have a higher chance of spawning in the space layer, so you could hang out up there and wait for one to come. Go to the outer edges of your world probes don't spawn in the center.
