After CADD drawing a replacement post, and sending files to a few machinists, it became apparent none were interested in machining out the part. I placed the bolt wrapped in tape - threaded end into drill chuck in a drill and spun it opposite the rotation of the bench grinder to get the upper pin diameter, then placed the bolt in a pair of vice grip sheet metal pliers, ground one side down, then flipped degrees to machine the other side flat. Photos and dimensions below. I made mine a bit longer than original length and ground it down until it fit. Remember there are two screws on top of the door frame - remove those, and put the vent window on the bottom replacement pin first, then reinstall top pin with screws. The notched "flats" under the taper are not perfectly 90 degrees as original due to the roundness of the grinder wheel, but the pin holds the original slotted washer just fine.

We have a caravan that is beginning in Collierville TN and has several stops along the way terminating at a private pebble beach on the shores of lake pickwick. The run will be a fairly low key one that can be run by rigs of all ability levels including stock as the challenging sections all have bypasses.
