The trailer for season 2 establishes that she and her fellow Vaeternians have discovered that they have not conquered all of the timelines in the MK multiverse, so they set out to do so. The player must protect Liu Kang's new timeline that serves as a setting for MK1. For season 2, Invasion Mode gets a new map, called a Mesa in the game, and a bunch of new challenges.
