Brawl is a Commander variant that uses only Standard -legal cards, [1] in addition to Arcane Signet and Command Tower. Since its ruleset is derived from Commander, the Comprehensive Rules consider Brawl to be an option of how to play Commander. However, several significant rules differences and the vast difference in the size of the card pool makes them quite different in practice. Four special preconstructed Brawl Decks were designed for Throne of Eldraine. Each deck has seven of them — four cards unique to that deck, one card shared with one other Brawl Deck, and two cards shared with each other Brawl Deck. These cards are all legal in Standard, Brawl, and all other formats that allow the latest sets. Or at least ones where cards in new sets are legal. A life wheel is included in the packaging. One of the things that set Magic: The Gathering apart from other trading card games is its plethora of unique formats. As of now, the game has around 10 different formats, with many of these having a few variations and spin-offs as well. Today we will focus on the Brawl format. Let's start with "What is Brawl? Brawl is a format where players build card decks using only cards currently legal in Standard. Decks are only allowed to contain one copy of each card, aside from basic lands. Decks are built around a "commander" which can be any Legendary creature or Planeswalker currently legal in Standard. All cards within the deck must be inside the commander's "color identity.
