I've searched the archives and haven't found any recent muffler reviews. Any opinions on what's out there? I'm reading upwards of a 4hp gain with just a muffler swap on the new 40efi. My question is, is this across the board with any performance muffler or is one better than the other? How about durability? Are there any that stand out? I realize that we are talking stainless so that paired up with a v twin is eventually going to cause stress cracks. How about noise level?

I don't really have any experience with mudmotors and never owned one but was wondering if there is any way to make a mudmotor as quiet as an outboard. I've seen underwater exhaust modifications on here for surface drives. How much of a difference does this make?

Best Exhaust?

Mount the exhaust onto the engines with some sort of shock absorption and every one will live longer as long as the corrosion is kept under control. I've heard that, but I found my boat ran better without it bro, crazy how these things work lol. Air in and air out equates to more power, but these exhaust make the most difference when paired with other mods like heads, cam, etc. Stainless works makes a great product and is not nearly as loud as a voodoo but sees similar gains as the voodoo.
