The aim of the study is to reveal the details of the TSMK exam which is very important for geography teacher candidates. In addition, this study aims to determine, whether the courses of faculties of education in Turkish and Social Sciences Education Department of geography and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of geography questions are compatible with TSMK geography exam question. It is expected that this study will make very important contribution in terms of geography teaching and to the geography teacher candidates. The study consists of three phases. First, the literature has been researched that related to the field. After that, total of questions that were asked in the last five geography TSMK exams were examined and classified according to their fields.
