OpenRCT2 is a construction and management simulation video game that simulates amusement park management. It is a free and open-source re-implementation and expansion of the video game Openrtc2 Tycoon 2. As a re-implementation, OpenRCT2 requires a copy of the original openrtc2 or the "Classic" re-release to already be installed on the computer, openrtc2.

The gameplay revolves around building and maintaining an amusement park containing attractions, shops and facilities. The player must try to make a profit and maintain a good park reputation whilst keeping the guests happy.

This new release adds in Ukrainian language support, RCT1 beta terrains, new colours for people's clothing when they spawn, a mechanism to allow building partly underground, various fixes to RCT1 features, an option to control hidden scenery, some UI fixes and more that can be seen in the changelog. OpenRCT2 needs the object files containing graphics, sounds and models from the original RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 to work. You'll need to have a copy of RCT2 before beginning. Otherwise, you can buy the game at GOG. Both of the packs linked also contain the two expansion packs, Wacky Worlds and Time Twister. Install RCT2 as normal, then go on to the next step.
