I lost all trust in her after that. As a first-time grandmother, I am truly sorry that it took me more than a year to get around to reading this book after hearing an interview with the author on NPR. Do you have young kids? It gets into the nitty gritty of what type of language we use and its effect on a child's brain and emotional development. This book is beyond compelling, a must read for every new parent, or parent to be. While reading studies and statistics aren't usually my cup of tea, this book provides lots of great information and practical advice into how a child's brain develops best.
