Easy to make and fun for all ages, they light up and can be broken down for storage when not in use. I am a huge fan of Halloween and love to do all kinds of decorations to welcome trick-or-treaters. Every year, I add to our huge display of Outdoor Witch Decorations seen here. One of the first decorations I did were these lighted pumpkin topiaries! Did I mention I still often dress up as a witch too?! We have such fun decorating the Halloween porch that getting dressed up in costume makes me feel like part of the action! Of course, these DIY pumpkin topiaries are the perfect sinister greeters for all the kids who dare come up to our door. I got mine at Lowes, but I admit these are getting harder to find. However, there are several other options that are just as cute! I have not specifically used these.

Thanks for the inspiration.

So I thought it would be fun to take a look at some of the most unusual pumpkin varieties to look for this fall. Side note: All pumpkins are a type of winter squash , but not all winter squash are technically pumpkins. I do include some pumpkin shaped winter squash in this post because the distinction is really just semantics. It would be so fun to grow these with the kids in the spring, too — so make sure you save seed from these pumpkins before you toss them in the compost pile. I love the look of stacking pumpkins in various colors.

Decorating the front doorstep for fall is so satisfying! And stacked pumpkins are my favorite fall style. Stacking pumpkins looked gorgeous on our doorstep — an idea that came as inspiration from a friend. In , we went all out, buying stacker pumpkins from a local pumpkin stand. The farm stand had all kinds of gourds and pumpkins of all sizes and colors. My ultimate goal centered on finding a set of stacking pumpkins. I found several cool combinations of flat pumpkins that stacked beautifully on our doorstep and indoors on our fireplace. Choosing pumpkins from a farm stand was a lot of fun. It took even longer to come up with a set of pumpkins to stack because I kept going back and forth between different color combinations.

You can probably cut enough out of grapevine wreaths or a grapevine garland you already have for the small amount this takes. The no watering is my favorite part. Be sure to share a photo when you have yours done. Big hugs, CoCo. Trackbacks […] Click Here […]. Of course, we ended up using a pretty hefty multi-plug to plug all of the lanterns in. Thanks Teddee!
