The Oviraptor Philodator is a carnivorous egg stealing dinosaur from the late Cretaceous period that has a skittish temperament. An Oviraptor while sneaky, is pretty clumsy and can often blow its cover by making a loud noise when it is about to flee as being threatened in any way will cause it to run away from danger. These creatures can be seen walking around, supposedly searching for eggs that it can poach for a snack. When approached by a human, these creatures will cry out and run as far as they can very quickly until they feel safe. Tribes have been able to utilize this creatures affinity for eggs and a strange connection to breeding to make the egg layers and breeding tames become more efficient. Despite being classified as a carnivore, these creatures prefer eggs above all kinds of food and can usually be seen trying to steal some off of other creatures and even tribes. The Oviraptor is capable of releasing a pheromone that works as an aphrodisiac which causes creatures to lay more eggs and boosts the effectiveness of mammal breeding. Although the Oviraptor is too small to fight or be ridden by survivors, they play a huge role when it comes to making creatures breed and produce eggs which tribes utilize for cooking food for themselves or kibble for taming. The Pheromone that Oviraptors release causes egg layers to lay eggs more frequently and for tames that are mating to have a more efficient session. This is activated by setting the Oviraptor on wander and to avoid from losing it, you can trap it in a cage or structures. Commanding an Oviraptor to attack an egg will send it to go grab the egg and safely bring it back to you at a quick pace. Being a natural egg hunter, Oviraptors can steal eggs for tribes that need them when they do not have any creatures that can lay the eggs for them.
The Oviraptor, once tamed, eats meat and will also eat the occasional dodo egg provided in a feeding trough.
