Ozzfest is an annual music festival tour of the United States and sometimes Europe and ozzfest 1998 Japan, featuring performances by many heavy metal and hard rock musical groups.

Over the years, a variety of bands have made up the yearly lineups of Ozzfest , a yearly heavy metal music festival that usually tours the United States in summer. In some of its touring years, the festival has also featured dates in Europe. The show was founded by legendary hard rock musician Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne, his wife, in , and has since become one of the biggest heavy-metal and rock festivals in the world, drawing fans who enjoy the same type of music heard on the Warped Tour or the Gathering of the Juggalos. The Ozzfest tour features a wide variety of heavy metal and hard rock bands. The different styles of music highlighted during the tour include hardcore punk, black metal, industrial, thrash metal, alternative metal, and death metal. Metalheads everywhere are welcome here and OZZfest is no different. With an already established career, Ozzy was successful in bringing in the crowds to see him play along with numerous big-name and indie bands in Phoenix, Arizona for a two-day music festival and again in California in October. With a first-year hit, the OZZFest tour went into full mode planning for the next year. OZZFest enjoyed major commercial success in the early part of and over the next several years.

Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath played the tour several times over the years. The festival was created in by Ozzy Osbourne's wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, after she was rebuffed by Lollapalooza when she tried to get Ozzy on that festival circuit. The first Ozzfest was not a national tour, but rather a two-day festival held in Phoenix, Arizona , and Devore, California , on 25 and 26 October respectively.
