Cylinder 2 Misfire code P Drove 5 miles home without issue. What am I in for? What do I need to look for? Able to drive it? Dealer can't see it for 3 weeks due to tech shortage. The Jeep was on and I was on my rock rails tugging on the straps and the jeep was rocking and and I heard a chime went down to the interior and the check engine light came on. I've only had the check engine light come on for gas cap. Went to the AutoZone and was told it was a P misfire? I looked on google for some info from other people and read some stuff but I wanted to hear what you guys think. My Jeep is a JK.

P is a real drivability concern and should be dealt with right away. Repairing P should be considered a high priority. The most common fix for P is to replace the spark plugs, coil packs, or if equipped plug wires. But, where is the second cylinder? There are quite a few things that can cause the P trouble code to trigger in the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Here are the most common problems that may cause misfiring.
