The actions of this all-volunteer group are directed toward the development of a network of rescuers, transporters, foster homes, and liaisons with animal shelters and other rescue groups in order to provide information and assistance, paphaven. Paphaven group will provide veterinary medical care, spay and neuter program, rehabilitation in foster homes and paphaven screening for appropriate adoptive homes with our ultimate goal being the welfare and protection of these small companion animals. Working together we are making a difference - one Papillon at a time, paphaven.

We rescue Papillons and are dedicated to finding the best possible home for each Papillon in our care. PapAdopters is a multi-state, c 3 purebred Papillon rescue organization who is committed to our goal of rescuing and re-homing purebred Papillons. The criteria for being able to help is having an available foster home. Please read our information on foster homes if you think this is something you might be interested in. PapHaven is c3 non-profit organization Virtual Fostering Have you ever dreamed of helping a Papillon rescue but don't have the time, the space, or just plain don't know what to do? Of course a larger sum would be happily accepted for your Virtual Foster of choice. Just let us know that this is for a specific Papillon - or more than one specific Papillon rescue furbaby. What does that mean? Our foster furbabies typically have many veterinary bills as this is the nature of being rescued.

Papillons are typically parti-color white with patches of any other color , including: black, black and tan, sable, red, lemon and liver. Occasionally Papillons can appear with very little white and then some may be almost all white. The Papillon ears are its trademark - large, fringed, and shaped like butterfly wings. Both an erect-ear and drop-ear variety known as the Phalene can occur in this breed.
