Pindarie
Medium-bodied, yet with considerable depth in this vintage. Perfumed on the nose and rewarding on the palate. This year the Tempranillo produced delicious Morello cherry fruit. The Sangiovese produced a wine of intense perfume with notable tannins, but Tempranillo is to the fore. A Mediterranean-style wine with the three varieties working in harmony together. A consistently delicious all-rounder! A fragrant medium-bodied wine, undeniably aromatic, with aromas of plums and ripe cherries that we have come to know and love in 'Temp', with very faint hints of oak and dried herbs. A juicy, fleshy palate making it oh-so drinkable! The Basques are famous for 'pintxos': small, delicious savoury bites. We suggest tuna-stuffed piquillo peppers; the classic Spanish omelette tortilla de patatas ; or even goat cheese and caramelized onions. Great drinking all year round and best drank young years from release.

Pindarie Aboriginal for " Hilly Place" A love of the land and a strong connection to Pindarie led Tony Brooks to join his grandfather in to share-farm the property. Over successive years Tony's vision and his wife Wendy's passion for viticulture, have been pivotal to Pindarie's resurgence as a acre working property with a blend of sheep and vines. Tony and Wendy were among the early pioneers of Tempranillo in the Barossa Valley, a variety perfectly suited to the stony dirt of the Western Ridge. The original 10 hectare planting of Shiraz in has since grown to include more varieties of Fiano, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Montepulciano. Pindarie acknowledges and pays respect to the Ngadjuri, Peramangk and Kaurna people as the Traditional Custodians of the Barossa region and recognises their continuing connection to lands, waters, and communities.
