These otherworldly Pokemon are fittingly known as Ultra Beasts and pose a significant threat to any individual unfortunate enough to encounter one. Multiple organizations, including the Aether Foundation and its leader, Lusamine, have dedicated their lives to fighting against these ferocious monsters. In your adventures through Alola, you will be tasked with staving off an invasion of Ultra Beasts after Lusamine opens the door to their arrival. While all Ultra Beast Pokemon are considered incredibly powerful, some are far more dangerous and hostile than others. With this new set of Pokemon taking center stage, it begs the question of if we can expect to see more Ultra Beasts in the future, or if the existing cast will be brought into future titles. While there will always be a debate about which is the strongest Ultra Beast, there's no doubt that certain contenders embody the essence of their title better than others. Stakataka is composed of several smaller creatures that attach to each other, forming a massive stone tower with four blocky legs.

The Pokemon Company revealed several new details regarding the forthcoming set today, confirming the addition of Ultra Beasts and hammering down the total cards in the set. The two Ultra Beast boxes will be themed after either Pheromosa or Buzzwole , each including the GX cards for their respective Pokemon. For those already looking to the future, the set to follow Crimson Invasion likely won't be revealed until later this year. Western expansions are now releasing several months after their Japanese counterparts, so with Crimson Invasion launching in Japan in September a new set announcement will likely wait until after that.

This probably isn't intentionally symbiotic as the goal of this is for the intoxicated to attack and destroy those that could be a hindrance to the Nihilego or its nest, such as predators or competitors; most likely other types of UB's.
