If we compare the two of them based on their feats and abilities, Kaido is equal, if not superior to Whitebeard. First of all, Kaido is innately more powerful than Whitebeard without devil fruit or haki , he's stronger, has more stamina and is laughably more durable, so Whitebeard doesn't have anything on Kaido in terms of innate ability. Now we compare their haki, both of them have shown advanced armament and advanced conquerors and there is no way of proving either of them are better than the other, then Kaido has also displayed future sight, whereas Whitebeard hasn't and as many of us know, future sight is a massive advantage as we see in the Luffy vs Katakuri fight, so Kaido and Whitebeard have equal haki and if anything, Kaido's haki game is better overall due to the addition of future sight. Then finally, let's discuss their devil fruits which play a big factor in this fight, both of them have elite devil fruits, Whitebeard has the Gura Gura no Mi, which is known for its tremendous destructive power and Kaido has the Uo Uo no Mi, which is another one of the most destructive, but also one of the most versatile devil fruits in the entire series. In terms of raw power, Whitebeard's fruit is superior, but Kaido's has more utility, it allows him to fly dragon form , it allows him to control the weather, it allows him to create clouds that can lift entire islands and in it's awakened form, it turns Kaido into an island sized flaming lava dragon and we know lava is very effective against Whitebeard as we saw in his fight with Akainu. Overall, I'd say their devil fruits are equally powerful or Kaido's is slightly more so, especially since he awakened his. The only real advantage we can give Whitebeard is weapons as he has a supreme blade, but he doesn't rely on it as much as he does his haki or devil fruit, so my final verdict is Kaido is equal to Whitebeard and can reasonably be argued to be stronger.
