If you look at the art page by page, start to finish, you'll see one man's struggle to get better at drawing one thing over the course of a decade. The QC world is internally consistent, although the author has left some loose ends in continuity. Events in the strip keep jumping into zaniness but the characters' personalities are realistic. There has been a reduction over time in the number of references to music acts , formerly a major element of the strip. On 1st of August Jeph has celebrated the eighth anniversary of the start of the comic.
