After dinner at Quality Bistro, bread and butter will never be the same. But when the server came over, and I heard the words "tableside" and "butter," I knew it was worth a try.

Home Bistro's prepared meals take aim at upscale restaurant food. I tried the service to see if it hits the mark. I had a chance to try the food and it was indeed tasty, but as I expected, it really wasn't worth the exorbitant price per meal. And certainly not on a regular basis. Cut to Home Bistro's prices have come down to earth a bit. The brand has also since added a roster of celebrity chefs who've created a fleet of recipes for Home Bistro. With all these changes, I decided to give the high-end meal delivery service another shot.

Loved the corn creme brulee and the lobster! Sangria served in a French press. The butter service was a fun indulgence. Loved the rasihes with the fresh, seasoned butter. The server served a little dish of plain butter on the side for a picky 5 year old. Great meal in a fun environment. What can one say about a restaurant that serves a butter service with crusty bread, cornichons, radishes, leeks, watercress, chorizo and eggplant spreads, and ham? How about caviar sliders with champagne? The food was delicious, the service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere cozy and beautiful. I want to return ASAP!

The breading is really nicely spiced, with great middle eastern earthiness and aromas. There's also a small bowl of mushroom duxelles, with larger pieces of mushroom than you'd typically expect, and vinegar for sharpness. Somehow my work-life balance got even worse. So juicy, so tender, and so packed with flavor. The cook temp was a perfect medium rare. Absolutely jerkworthy. In the end, there were plenty of leftovers, and when we asked for boxes, we made sure to include the Butter Service, too.
