The idea is to help you do all the quests in a single run of the dungeon. For more information about the dungeon, please refer to our detailed Wailing Caverns dungeon guide. There are a number of quests available in Wailing Caverns, both before you enter the dungeon and once you are inside. Below is a list of the quests available to players, along with their level requirement. Note that there are no Alliance-only quests in the dungeon. Both Alliance and Horde players will need to be at least Level 15 to complete every quest in this dungeon. In order to pick up this quest, players will need to complete a number of quests in The Barrens. In order to unlock this quest, you will need to complete Raptor Horns , which is given by the same questgiver, Mebok Mizzyrix in Ratchet. There are multiple spawn points for this NPC and, unfortunately, he comes with a fairly long respawn timer. He is located in the caves outside of the instance and hides in stealth, meaning he can be very difficult to find. We would recommend simply skipping this quest if you do not find him immediately, as the rewards are not hugely worth it. This quest starts with the Glowing Shard , which drops from Mutanus the Devourer. Once you have used the item, you will head to Sputtervalve , who can be found next to the Flight Master in Ratchet.

Specifically, how and where to get them all. The Wailing Caverns is the second instance open to Horde players. Almost all of the Wailing Caverns quests are found in the Barrens, with one being found in Thunder Bluff. A fair portion of these quests is available to both Horde and Alliance players, in particular, those found in Ratchet and the ones given by the NPCs hanging out in the skull above the dungeon. This can be turned in with an NPC in Ratchet and is available to both factions as well. This quest requires you to obtain Wailing Essence from the ectoplasms in the Wailing Caverns. This is available to both Alliance and Horde players and is picked up in Ratchet.

Wailing Caverns is one of the earlier dungeons that both Alliance and Horde players will encounter, given its recommended level range of Your group will be able to comfortably clear the instance within an hour. The caverns are home to a group of druids, led by Naralex, who believed the incredible wildlife within was the key to restoring the Barrens' environment. He chose to use the Emerald Dream to attempt this feat, but soon found himself corrupted by nightmares and the once tranquil caves felt the corruption equally. Those inside quickly succumbed to the nightmares, with docile creatures turning into vicious beasts and the former acolytes of Naralex turning into the Druids of the Fang. The caverns are located in the Barrens in the oasis west of the Crossroads and are inhabited by the wicked Druids of the Fang. While the dungeons up to this point have had obvious paths and routing, Wailing Caverns is maze-like and offers several different routing options.
