It lifts my Mountaineer with ease. It is a nice lift for a garage that can not accommodate a standard garage lift high ceilings. That Costco lift looks interesting If I had one and lifted any car I would have jack stands at all 4 corners as an insurance feature. As far as getting underneath a car on the lift and jack stands, I don't think that I would do it. But that would come in handy for brake and front end work. I guess I would get under a car to quickly pull an oil pan bolt

So happy. I'm sure a lot of guys would like a 2 post or 4 post lift if they had the garage height, but in my experience I have seen cars teeter while 6 feet in the air with someone underneath prying or pounding on something. It's just the nature of working on cars I guess, quick jacks costco.

A lot of work. No regrets, the QJ feels much more stable and safe to me than jackstands, plus the jackstands sometimes sunk in my driveway asphalt a little and left impressions. The gold standard is the two-post lift that can raise a vehicle overhead in minutes, but my garage has a low roof -- anything that goes up more than a few feet won't work. The good news is there are plenty of low-rise and mid-rise lifts out there that work even in tight garage spaces.
