While most of the best abilities are exclusive or close to it, certain abilities are surprisingly common, and have blessed several Pokemon with competitive potential. Regenerator is one such ability. Getting extra HP never hurts, and the ability to get some back with an action as simple as switching can be incredibly useful. There are thirteen fully-evolved Pokemon with Regenerator as an available ability, and these Pokemon have proven to be the better of the bunch - shout-out to Corsola and Eldegoss. Audino is an otherwise unviable Pokemon for battling, with the Regenerator ability being its lone claim to battling competence.

Overall, has a lot more potential and usability than i mentioned even, but is one of the better abilities out there for some of these Pokemon. I don't know if a fighting type with base attack and speed will be in UU. Oh man, Slowbro just got this much better. It could succeed in lower tiers, where all that is enough to play a solid defensive wall. Mamanbou's really looking like it will have awesome defensive potential. I don't know if a fighting type with base attack and speed will be in UU. Above all, though, having Regenerator gives it so much longevity, which is key to its competitive viability. When I saw this, I immediately began to think about how it could be used in conjunction with Substitute and baton pass. Slowbro doesn't really need this ability since it has Slack Off which heals more , but I'm really interested in how Regeneration works with Pursuit: does it heal first or Pursuit first? This is absolutely awesome. Still, despite having bad defensive stats, Regenerator gives it extra longevity other wallbreakers don't have. It got me thinking, could this thing be used to taunt a defensive pokemon, set up sub and a few buffs before passing to a partner, thus healing much of the damage it took from the sub? Rarely is a Pokemon excellent both ways, but the Grass-type Tangrowth can make that claim, in large part thanks to the longevity Regenerator provides. Widely regarded as one of the best defensive Pokemon ever, Toxapex comes packed with incredible defensive stats at Defense and Special Defense.
