After beating four areas and their bosses, you'll reach the Root Earth area that looks just like Earth, except it's deeply corrupted. At the end of this area, you'll battle Annihilation alongside Clementine. Annihilation is the only boss in the game that regenerates its health fully when you defeat it first. Moreover, if you're defeated during the second phase after it regenerates its health, you'll have to start the battle from the first phase all over again. When you reach the third area of Root Earth, you'll see a giant tree but its entrance will be blocked with a red barrier. Clementine will break this barrier whenever you're ready , and you'll enter battle with Annihilation. During the first phase, the boss takes the form of a dragon that rapidly attacks you. One of these attacks is where the boss charges its sword to slam it into the ground where you're standing. The only way to dodge this attack is by paying attention to the sound. As soon as you hear a sword charging sound, you have to press the dash button. The same can be said about another attack where the boss produces a tremor. In this attack, Annihilation holds its sword with both hands and sticks it into the ground, producing a circular tremor that quickly expands all over the battlefield and deals a lot of damage. This attack can be followed up by multiple other attacks:. If you don't see the boss going back up after the first slam, it's recommended to dash almost immediately to avoid the explosion.

This monstrosity is the pinnacle of the game's challenges, and it can be very tough to beat the first time around. Annihilation is as deadly as it is intimidating. Its attacks are frantic, and many players may have trouble keeping up with its pace. Even on the lowest of Remnant 2's difficulties, this boss is still hard to beat. Understanding any boss' moveset is the key to beating them, and the same applies to this one.
