We are a second generation of restaurateurs with 35 years of experience in the food industry, groomed by our parents who have been in the business for over 50 years. Our business and our client base originated in a small restaurant on Walkley Road that later grew to a large establishment of seats. My family drove to Ottawa for the long weekend and we found this great restaurant almost by chance. It may not look like much on the outside and is close to a couple of auto shops - but inside it was cozy and friendly and We sat in a big booth inside as it was still a little too chilly to sit out on the huge patio, even though they did have some heaters and fireplaces going. Emily was our server and took incredible care with us - she was really attentive and made some great suggestions for us. I kept on having to leave the restaurant as I was having some real troubles with our hotel accommodations, but she made sure that I had my drinks and food along with everyone else. The neighbourhood has only a few dining options at Trainyards and Elmvale and drinking options at Bicycle and Vimy , so O'Brien's fills an important role as a neighbourhood pub.
