Additionally, have some diamonds on hand and if you have some lime dye and magma cream lying around, you'll need those too. Plates and rods are vital for building your infrastructure. The most basic construction block, Machine Structure, requires 4 of each. Rods can be crafted according the recipe. Early game plates can be made via the Small Plate Presser.

Note: this method requires Meteoric Iron Ingots , which is only found on asteroids. Therefore, the oil method must be used first. This can then be used in a Gas Liquefier to make rocket fuel. Again, this can be pumped into a fuel loader, fluid tank or empty canister. Place a filled Fuel Canister into the left hand slot in the Fuel Loader, which will automatically transfer its fuel into the Fuel Loader's internal tank. If done correctly, the Fuel will start loading into the Spaceship.

For water this allows an easy re-purposing of The Vat for either firewater or rocket fuel production; but unfortunately it seems that if the outlet piping backs up Hootch can be transferred to the input liquid side and must be dumped in order to continue Hootch production. The Fuel Loader is a machine that is necessary in order to supply fuel to any type of Rocket or to a Moon Buggy. To use the Fuel Loader, it must be supplied with power either by wire or a battery and Fuel either by a pipe or Fuel Canister. There are two methods of supplying the Fuel Loader with fuel: The first method is to place a Fuel Canister , fuel bucket, or other fuel container such as a BuildCraft fuel bucket inside the loader which will empty the container and partially fill the loader's internal fuel tank. The second method is to connect Fluid Pipes to the side and pump the fuel into the loader directly from a Refinery or Fluid Tank.
