Yellow Dog was dumped one hot summer day at a shelter in Florida. His name on the owner release was mutt. He was a boney, dull-coated fellow, his feet were deformed because his toenails had grown in circles, and he walked with a funny limp as his front leg had been broken. He was heartworm-positive, was blind in one eye, and he was terrified of humans. He was named Yellow Dog. He was put into a kennel, from which he promptly escaped. Website Design by A. To date, SAFE has rescued over 28, wonderful, precious pets who, through no fault of their own, became homeless. Each has a story, a heart, and feelings, and deserves a chance to have the home they want so desperately. SAFE also takes pets that other shelters will not take-in — the sick, the terrified, the seniors — those considered less adoptable or with costly injuries. Amara before and after pictures.
