I worked in small batches as it was easier to do one handprint at a time with a toddler. Carefully cut out the handprints with a sharp knife and use a straw to punch a hole at the top for the ribbon. I did an outline of the handprint, but I have seen other examples where you just cut out the handprint itself. I recommend baking for an hour, then flipping the prints and baking for another hour.
